Goodbye Grissom, hello Dr. Langston

It has been weeks since my bug friend Grissom bids goodbye to the world of CSI and honestly I feel sad up to now. I am missing Grissom and how could I not? For eight and a half seasons, it was Grissom, Grissom and Grissom every and after episode. He is the reason I watch CSI, not because he is good-looking and I have a hot for him but he seems to be real for a character. He does not pretend to be the superhero unlike Horacio of CSI Miami. I like his integrity and intelligence. He has strength and depth and CSI was built on that character of him.

Before Petersen left CSI, they introduce Dr. Langston character played by Laurence Fishburne (a criminal pathologist, Grissom was an entomologist by the way). I already watched the 2 episodes with Dr. Langston and he seems to be doing just fine. His character did not come as a "hey guys I am a doctor and you should bow to me" kind of attitude. His character is learning (not showing his soft side or not bringing the whole lab to the crime scene), he seems to show humility/modesty as a Level 1 CSI. He was not trying to impress anyone, not to Hodges anyway. He stumbled but he is a first-timer, and he is intense with his will to learn.

Can Dr. Langston replace Grissom? No. But he will make his own mark in the show and his expertise on criminal pathology is a great weapon for CSI LV. Good luck Dr. Langston (and Laurence).

By the way, the bottled pig is back in Nick and Riley's office.
