Philippine international airports

As a tourism management graduate, I understand the importance of infrastructure in bringing quality and efficient service to international tourists. The airport is the very first landmark a visiting foreigner can see and say about the destination country. It's role is very vital in portraying a certain image the country has. The services and facilities are very crucial on how a country would like to be perceived by the visitors.

I've been to many airports (in different countries) and without hesitations, my very own NAIA I is the worst. Excluding the Centennial aiport, NAIA I is a picture of chaos, mess and inefficiency. The last time I was there the toilet bowl flush was not working (if you want to flush your thing you have to get water from the bucket using the tabo), the tap has no water, no toilet paper, no hand dryer....nothing. It was primitive. Outside was a total chaos as well... with so many people standing around with their heavy bags saying goodbyes and hugs to their relatives who were being nudged by the security guards to leave the area. No visitors lounge. No lockers. The guards are unfriendly and rude. One thing that compensate for all those lackings is the scene of a Filipino family having the last time to be together with the loved one who is leaving. The tears of the wife, the hug of the sister, the smiles of the children, the reminder of the parents... they are all worth to be remembered though than the (non-existence of) toilet paper.
